Leather uppers come in different finishes although the raw product is very similar.
Calf Leather
This is leather which has been dyed to attain its colour. The material is soft, giving superior comfort, and has somewhat
less of a shine than polished leather finishes.
Polished Leather
Polished leather uppers are treated to give a high shine appearance, this can give an initial firmer feel to the shoe.

Herring Appleby is a full grain leather iPad case that will fit iPad 1 through to iPad with Retina Display (Dec 2012). It features a beautiful embossed Herring crest on the front cover. You can fold the cover over so that it can act as a stand or even a hand grip. It can also be folded to make a typing slope. Small magnets hold the cover closed so no clasps are needed. All controls are available when the case is on and you can also connect the dock connector, although it may not fit onto a docking station as the leather is fairly thick.

The size is the size of your foot. A larger size is for a larger foot. All shoes vary in length due to different last shapes, welts and so on. We cannot measure shoes to fit your feet because of this variation.
US customers need to be aware that UK sizes are different to US sizes. For example a US size 6 customer should order a UK size 5 or 5.5. This is because the lasts that the shoes are made on are physically different to those in the US.
